Today I would like for you to get 2 things done in reading plus assignments for both, but do not rush yourself, then math.

1.) First, read pages 28-52 of "Dear America: When will this Cruel War be Over?  The Civil War Diary of Emma Simpson, Gordonsville, VA 1864"

2.) When you are done, write in complete paragraph, tell me what has happened in the book.

3.) "World History Ancient Civilizations", start reading Chapter 2, "The Earliest Human Societies", 46-57 (Lesson 1).

4.) On page 49, do the activity at the bottom of the page, question 2:  "Imagine you are going to make a documentary film about the hunter.  Write a brief description of the film."  Write down "words to know "on page 50 and their meaning. Answer questions 1-7 on page 55, then work pages 56-57.  (The Skillbuilder Handbook it suggests is at the back of this book and you can use it, take your time and answer 1-3.)

5.) If you have any time left over and the high school bus has not run yet, please start working on CK-12.

Anything not finished can be completed over the weekend.  Remember to put the date, name, class (social studies or history), and always try to be neat with handwriting.  (You can always practice your cursive and writing skills in your free time!!!)

Next week we will work on Life Science and English, then back to U.S. History and Social Studies the week after that.

Tonight remember to read before going to bed.  When you are through with it, we will start making a list of read books.
